RETREAT IN GREECE

The Retreat will be held at the "Xenonas Martiou" retreat centre in Kissos Village, in the Pilion Peninsula in Greece. Located near the beautiful crystal clear beaches of the Aegean sea in mainland Greece and less than 45 miles from the touristic island of Skiathos.

The price of the retreat includes buffet breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner. Accomodation is in a double (or occasionally triple) room. There is a single room supplement of £100/€150, and there is a reduction of £20/€35 for tent occupancy providing that you bring your own sleeping bag, towel and (if desired) pillow. (If you have your own tent you are more likely to be able to take advantage of this offer due to the limited number of our tents.)

Community-based Centre: The general pattern is for an introductory community meeting on the first morning of the retreat after breakfast. The Retreat sessions are held in the cooler morning hours, and participants often opt to go to the beach after lunch. A second, shorter retreat session may be held in the evening before supper. We will have a group gathering/party around the fireside the last evening of a workshop. The retreat centre is community based and in keeping with this, participants share in helping to cook the main meal, and join the after dinner clean-up rota. In practice, this works out to being on the dinner cooking team (2 ¾ hr) once in the week, and helping with after dinner clean up (about 35-40 min) a couple of times in the week.
